Mr. Maurice’s Italian は「famiglia：家族」を大切にしたルーフトップがあるレストランです。パスタの魅力を直球に考え、ロックンロールと、家族をこよなく愛するシェフ：マーク・ヴェトリの独創性を最大限に活かしています。今でもスタッフのためにまかない料理に腕を振るう父への感謝はもちろん、1950年代のフィラデルフィアで人気レストランのオーナーとして活躍してた祖父、Maurice Rotenberg への敬意を込めてレストランを名付けています。自分の息子も、祖父と同じ Maurice と名付けていて、先代から後世に繋がる絆を何よりも大切にしています。そんな世代を超えた愛情を地域の皆さまと共有し、「ご近所レストラン」として、カジュアルにご利用いただくのがマークの願いです。ピザ窯を温め、皆さまを心よりお待ちしています。

Mr. Maurice’s Italian is a neighborhood restaurant and rooftop cocktail bar perched on the third floor at Ace Hotel Kyoto, overlooking the bustling Shinpukan below. We’ve partnered with the inimitable Chef Marc Vetri, who named the restaurant after his grandfather, Maurice Rotenberg — the owner of the family's eponymous restaurant in Philadelphia in the 1950s. They lived above it, and Marc named his son Maurice, too. It’s a famiglia affair and you’re invited.
